“Brooklyn Odyssey must be made into a film. It is written in the spirit we all shared when we began our careers, but the rest of us forgot how to do it. Brooklyn Odyssey by legendary American Theatre Director Tony Giordano is a right of passage story, concerning a young man’s development amidst a wonderfully eccentric, funny and tender family in the fifties, hard-working, honest Italian Americans. This story is a beautifully rendered moral tale demonstrating how families and teachers shape our destiny.”

Brooklyn Odyssey The Art of Men Acting Book 1 eBook Tony Giordano
I have read Brooklyn Odyssey twice and found it just as delightful a second time. Perhaps it's because I too come from an Italian family, and I had an Aunt Josie and an Aunt Anna as well. However, one does not have to share Tony Giordano's ethnic background to enjoy and even be inspired by this memoir. Beside giving readers a vivid picture of family life in Brooklyn decades ago, the book presents us with a portrait of a determined and goal-oriented young man, someone who knew what he wanted, and, more importantly, what he didn't want. The book would make a wonderful independent film; I hope to see it well-cast and on the screen some time soon.Product details

Brooklyn Odyssey The Art of Men Acting Book 1 eBook Tony Giordano Reviews
As an Italian American, I thoroughly enjoyed this book. No one writes women like Mr. Giordano. His dialogue makes you feel like
you are right in the room with the characters. It's so interesting, I couldn't wait to get to Book II.
Brooklyn Odyssey is a beautiful book. Tony Giordano uniquely reminds us that life is a divine comedy in which we are all clowns with the souls of poets. This review is written by Mary Joan Negro.
An inspiring story that captures the essence of the human spirit! In fact, I enjoyed BROOKLYN ODSSEY better than CATCHER IN THE RYE.
I couldn't put this book down until I finished it. I felt I was back there with the family and a child who had a dream.
I felt I experienced life in that time and place-a history book of sorts in a real personalized way. funny, sad, but a heartwarming story meant to touch all but especially Italian americans attempting to assimilate in the American way.
I sat down to read Brooklyn Odyssey, and before I knew it, I couldn't put it down- I sat and read the book in one sitting. I was totally enraptured by the characters, the settings, the stories of each individual's journey and completely fell in love with the hero- Anthony- or as he insisted his name was- Tony.- Giordano. This book chronicles the growing up of a young man from a wonderfully eclectic Italian family in Brooklyn and his search for his own identity and his insistence on a real education. I have rarely been so charmed by a person and his journey. If I were Italian, I would love to play all the parts in the movie as each character is so personally and beautifully drawn. This a wonderful adventure story for people of all ages. Young people in particular can learn from and enjoy Tony's journey. A MUST Read!!! Erika Slezak
